My wife and I had lunch at KorPot this past week, and we were thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. The restaurant itself is modern and clean, with a vibrant yet comfortable atmosphere that was perfect for a midday meal. The food was absolutely the highlight. We both ordered the Bibimbap, served in a sizzling hot stone bowl. It was a true work of art—a colorful arrangement of fresh, seasoned vegetables, tender marinated beef, and a perfectly fried egg. Hearing the rice sizzle and crisp up at the bottom was fantastic, and mixing it all together with their savory-sweet gochujang sauce created a perfect harmony of flavors and textures. To finish our meal, we shared the Carp Shaped Bread. It was served warm, with the classic sweet red bean paste filling perfectly balanced by a rich, house-made cheese cream. The combination was an incredible treat. But what truly makes KorPot special, and the reason we will be rushing back, is the staff. Everyone is so genuinely warm and welcoming. The server wasn't just efficient; they were incredibly friendly, smiling, making helpful suggestions, and checking on us with a real sense of care. It felt less like we were just customers and more like we were welcome guests. This level of sincere hospitality is what elevates a good restaurant to a truly great one. For the amazing quality and generous portions, the price offers incredible value. You leave feeling happy, well-fed, and appreciated. Final Verdict: KorPot is an outstanding choice for lunch. Thanks to the combination of delicious food and arguably some of the friendliest, most attentive service we've experienced, it has instantly become one of our new favorite spots. We can't recommend it enough!

What a great place. Food was delicious. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Parking lot is tough. Wish it was easier to stop in.

Authentic Korean food in Poughkeepsie?! Yes! I couldn’t believe it either. My family is Korean so we have pretty high standards when it comes to Korean food but was happy with our experience here. The soft tofu soup (순두부) was hearty and delicious, and my mom enjoyed her bibimbap. The decor is k-pop and k-show oriented (which I would normally find this to be a bit cheesy), but the food and the service made up for it. They had a sign that roughly translates to “I’m glad I came here” (neon sign with the whale) and we have to agree!

Very good food! I ordered the Donkkaseu (not pictured), Soondubu Jjigae, Bung Eo Ppang, Jeyuk, and Mandu Twigim. Everything was delicious and full of bold, flavorful spices. The service and atmosphere were also great. I highly recommend!

Excellent tasting real Korean food. Freshly made. Lovely and hip restaurant. Nicely decorated. Background music and entertained guests. Their food is awesome. Had the spicy pork for lunch (lunch boxes to -go for busy customers are great), and was so great that decided to come back for dinner. Love their spicy dishes!!! Sweet friendly staff. Family -owned!

The food is actually amazing! Each dish tastes different than what you would expect but in a very good and unique way!! Their pumpkin soup is literally so good (a must try) and their Jeyuk Bokkeum (Spicy pork stir fry) is soooo good . The spicy fried chicken is very very delicious too . For dessert, the cream that comes with the Bungeoppang or Twisted Doughnut is literally the BEST. MUST TRY. TIP: Find all the 8 pumpkins and you may receive a free dessert (don't count on my word just what I heard)

I eat Korean food often in NYC, and KorPot is easily just as good, if not better than some of the places there. I tried the tteokbokki, pork dumplings, and dakgalbi, and everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the space was very clean and well-maintained. I was thoroughly impressed and I’ll definitely be stopping by again whenever I’m in Poughkeepsie!

Place is in a small parking, and looked closed from outside. But inside is bigger, and nice. Waiter was welcoming, fast and helped us picking up our dishes. They offered Korean salad and pumpkin soup, it was delicious. Food was good, bibimbap one regular one fried (still frying on a dish) tons of veggies. Appetizer fried dumplings was spicy. We had fun, couldn't finish our dishes, portions are big.
